Alexander set the early pace from the first practice rounds and was the fastest driver during the entire practice. Unfortunately the luck was not with Alex in the qualifiers.

Alex reported: ‶Q1: made a mistake in the lead which tweaked the car. Q2: hit a car which flew onto the straight in front of me, while fighting for TQ which wrecked my car. Q3: lost all rear traction after 5 minutes. Track seems to have changed a lot. We keep trying!※

In the remaining qualifiers Alex put maximum effort to get back and reported: ‶Finally managed a decent run to 2nd overall in Q5. Set the fastest lap of the event at the start.※ In the very last qualifier Alex managed to set TQ which secured him an overall 4th qualification position. From the XRAY team it was also Olly Jefferies who managed in the very high competition field to qualify in to the A-main final.

After the finals Alex reported: ‶First of all, thanks everyone for your support this past week. It was heartbreaking to have the fastest car at the event and not able to make the best out of it. But we keep working hard and maybe someday it will pay off! 6th is still my best WC finish to date.※
